北海道の南部、有珠山に近い伊達市にオープンしたコガネトンズ・デリは、
伊達のブランド豚「黄金豚（こがねとん）」を使ったコロッケなどを販売するデリ。

地元で人気のオオヤミートが、豚を育てるところから加工までを行い、
おいしい肉や餃子を販売してきたけれど、本店のすぐそばで惣菜の製造販売を手がけることに。

コンパクトでシンプルな建物は建築家の鈴木理さんがデザインしたもの。
僕の仕事はサインを考えること。

もともと黒い円に入れた黄金豚のロゴをつくっていたので、デリのロゴも円を使うことに。
最初はごく小さな電飾サインを控えめにつけて、おしゃれなカフェみたいにしようかと思ったけれど、
ここは目立たない場所なので思い切って直径1.8 mの大きな看板を
建物正面のど真ん中に配置してみた。

実際に設置してみると思いのほか大きくて、オープン前からたくさんの人に気にされることに。

原料の豚肉の良さもあっておいしい商品が並んでるんだけど、
大矢社長は少しでも安く売りたいって。

ちょっと安すぎる気もするので、もし行かれたらぜひ爆買いを。

Koganeton's Deli, which opened in Date City in the southern part of Hokkaido near Mt. Usu, sells croquettes and other items made with Date's brand pork, Koganeton.
Oya Meat, a locally popular company, has been selling delicious meat and gyoza by raising and processing pigs, but they have decided to start producing and selling prepared foods right next to their main store.
The compact and simple building was designed by architect Makoto Suzuki. My job is to think of signs.
I had originally created a logo of a golden pig in a black circle, so I decided to use a circle for the deli logo as well. At first, I thought of putting up a very small illuminated sign to make it look like a stylish cafe, but since this is an inconspicuous place, I decided to take the plunge and place a large sign with a diameter of 1.8 m right in the middle of the front of the building.
When I actually installed it, it was bigger than I expected.Even before it opened, many people were curious about it.
