2008年8月に、スタッフ全員参加のポスター展を開催しました。
クライアントであるハウジングオペレーションさんとの環境をテーマにした冊子づくりから発展した企画です。
1年ぶりの展覧会で、みんな頭に汗をかいて作りました。

人工林の間伐材を有効活用した
循環型の住宅供給システムを確立するなど、
ハウジングオペレーションは
早くから環境との共生を実践してきました。
このたび、地球の危機を取り上げた
環境ブックレット「Choice of Futures」を
8年ぶりに改訂するにあたり、
寺島デザイン制作室が編集とデザインを担当。
その際に10名のデザイナーが
それぞれの視点で制作したヴィジュアルを、
変化に富んだポスターとして
展示させていただくことになりました。

　
ポスターはふつう、瞬時にメッセージを伝えることを目的としてつくられますが、
今回は冊子用ということもあり、しばし考えながらご覧いただきたいデザインが多くなっています。
これを機会に、多くの方々に環境問題へ思いを馳せていただければと願っています。

In August 2008, Terashima Design held a poster exhibition in which all of our staff members participated. This whole project started when we produced a booklet with an environmental theme for our client, Housing Operation. We had our own poster exhibition for the first time in a year, so everyone tried their best.

The text below was shown in the Direct Mail issued by Housing Operation.

Housing Operation has been seeking a living in harmony with environments by several means including establishment of a recycling-oriented housing supply system which effectively utilize woods thinned from artificial plantation.

Our environmental booklet “Choice of Future”, which focuses on a risk for the Earth”, just has been revised for the first time in 8 years. Terashima Design was engaged in editing and designing. The visual designs by their ten designers with different points views and tastes will be exhibited as posters.

Posters are generally produced to carry a message which is easy to understand. However, the posters for this exhibition were originally designed for the booklet. Therefore, many designs will give you a moment to think through the meaning in it. I hope this exhibition will give many people good opportunities to rethink the environmental problems.
