2008年、さっぽろライラックまつりが50周年を迎えました。
大通7丁目は道産ワインやチーズが楽しめるワインガーデンとなり記念ワインが販売されました。

ミディアムの赤ですが、まあまあ深い味に仕上がっています。
このワインも含めワインガーデン全体のプロデュースはソムリエの勝山みゆきさんによるもの。日本国内では最年少の23歳でソムリエとなった方です。

僕はラベルのデザインを依頼されました。この記念ワインは限定600本と少なめなので、1本ずつすべて違うデザインにしてみました。
手描きで通し番号も入れてます。

B1サイズに面付けしたものを11種類つくって色校正を出したんです。
それ自体もディスプレイ用のポスターとして使いました。

いただいた予算の中では納められませんでしたけど、まあ楽しんだからいいかな。

Sapporo LILAC Festival marked its 50th anniversary in 2008. The seventh street in Sapporo turned into a wine garden where you could enjoy Hokkaido wine and cheeses and buy the commemorative bottles of wine.

The wine was medium red and had a deep taste. The wine garden was all produced by sommelier, Ms. Miyuki Katsuyama. She became the youngest sommelier in Japan when she was 23 years old.

I was responsible for designing the wine label. The number of the commemorative bottles of wine was limited to 600, so I decided to give different designs for each bottle. I also wrote serial numbers by hands on the bottles.

I imposed these designs on B1 size paper. I made eleven kinds of them and did color proof. Then, I used them as a display poster. The total cost was over the budget after all. But it is okay because I could fully enjoy myself.
