叔母でもある黒岩静枝の歌手生活は高校時代にはじまったと聞いています。
20歳の時、戦争中のベトナムで中本マリさんとともに米軍キャンプを慰問。
このときの経験はその後に大きな影響を与えたようです。

帰札後の20代はナイトクラブで毎日数十曲を歌い、30代前半に家族を残して単身ロサンゼルスへ。
30代半ばで帰国し自身がオーナーのジャズライブバー「デイバイデイ」をオープンさせています。

その後は奥尻島地震のときからはじめたチャリティコンサートやアマチュアミュージシャンのためのライブイベントを実施するなど、
思いを行動に変えるエネルギーは人並み以上のものがあります。
まわりの人間は簡単に巻き込まれますよ。それもポジティブな気持ちで。

そんな黒岩静枝の枯れないエネルギーをポスターにしてみました。
写真を使うとインパクトがありますが、たぶん似たようなヴィジュアルはいっぱいあると思い線画にしました。
ブルーとスミの2色ですが、本当はカラーにしたかった。予算がないので我慢したんですよ。

大きな滝は、まさに黒岩静枝という感じ。近づいたときはしっかり立っていないとのみ込まれますから要注意。
なので最近はあまり近づかないようにしています。

My aunt, Suzie Kuroiwa, started her singing job in high school. At age 20, she visited the U.S. military camp in Vietnam during the time of war with Ms. Mari Nakamoto. It seems the impression that time influenced her life significantly.

After returning home, she started singing dozens of songs a day at a nightclub in her 20s, and left for LA alone leaving her family behind in her early 30s. She came back in her late 30s and opened a jazz live bar called “Day by Day”.

Since then, she held a charity concert at the time of earthquake of Okushiri, and organized a live show for amateur musicians. She is full of energy to change a will to an action. The people around her easily get involved in her projects with a high motivation.

I expressed abundant energy of Suzie Kuroiwa in the poster. Using a photograph could give a strong impact, but I was afraid that there could be many similar visuals. Instead, I decided to use line drawing. I produced it with blue and black. I actually wanted to use many colors but I gave up because of the budget restriction.

The huge waterfall is exactly like Suzie Kuroiwa. When it comes close to you, you have to stand strong, or you would be swallowed up by the current. Thus, I am keeping some distance from her recently.
